Between 2002 & 2005 one of the UK's best known brands in the FS marketplace grew there ABI market share position from No8 to No2.
This meant the organisation was selling £450Million more in APE (Annual Premium Income) than they would have earnt if they remained in their 8th position. Obviously a change of this magnitude can't happen by accident. In fact the involvement of a Specialist Change Agent was critical in the success.
The Sales Organisation had correctly identified products and sales distriibution channels they could grow, but without concensus from the Product and Servicing divisions, their efforts were failing to make significant headway. Tim used his specialist skills to identify the major pieces of change and to gain resources - and the commitment - of competing areas to help make the change occur.
Having gained significant improvements in both the product range and the sales support the division received, it allowed him to help the distribution team accept they had their own issues, to document them and run a 40 workstream programme to implement changes.
After 2 years the structure and purpose of the organisation had changed, they were already the 3rd largest FS company by market share, and without further investment the changes allowed the business to continue their market share growth, eventually becomng second largest player according to the Association of British Insurers.
Over 4 years the total extra income stood at £2.2 Billion pounds APE.
